The Digital Content Strategist will work full time onsite in Eden Prairie with the digital marketing team and directly with clients in collaboration with Project Management, Design, Marketing, and Digital Production teams.

General Description:

Imagewërks Marketing is a full-service marketing communications agency with an immediate opening for a Digital Content Strategist.



  • Responsible for content creation (messaging & creative), management and execution of all digital media for web, email, social and mobile
  • Develop, plan and execute campaigns which involve:
    • Creating digital marketing plans that include: Social (including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest) email campaigns and website content
    • Paid media – developing content and providing strategy for paid media purchases, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Pandora
    • Shopper Marketing: Creating campaigns and packages for client vendors and partners to cross promote content and products to be executed using both digital and in-store tactics
  • Digital Content:
    • Everyday Content Planning: what, when, how (short/long term)
    • Content Management: tools and practices
    • Responsible for maintaining strategy and best practices documentation
  • Create, optimize and deliver content for all digital channels: copywriting, asset production, tagging/classifying, edit and proof as necessary
  • Establish editorial strategy, voice, style to be consistent with brand guidelines
  • Ideation/Concepting: development of themes, messages and topics
  • Promote content as required: monitor, react (e.g. social media comments, moderation, etc.)
  • Works with multi-functional team of designers, writers, videographers, photographers and developers to create innovative and usable digital solutions spanning e-commerce, digital storytelling, mobile and in-store experiences
  • Maintain content backup, versioning and archival practices


Depending on experience


  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years digital content strategy experience in an advertising agency or similar environment
  • Experience including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, Google Communities, YouTube, and more
  • Ability to effectively communicate digital strategies to team members, partners and leadership
  • Knowledge of social media and analytics software (Hootsuite, Shoutlet, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of social media paid advertising campaigns including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest
  • Strong understanding of user-generated content management, content marketing and reputation management
  • Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills, strategic content creation and excellent writing skills
  • Driven to keep current with industry trends and emerging marketing technologies
  • Able to interact extensively with internal teams, outside media companies and vendors on a daily basis
  • Realistic and pragmatic team player that’s self-motivated and determined to meet deadlines
  • Excellent decision-making, problem solving, organization and multitasking skills
  • Solid presentation skills and attention to detail to convey ideas to internal and external teams
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Word, and Excel


Nice to have:

  • Basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS
  • Strong understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, PPC, inbound marketing tactics
